3-D Catalogs

Extragalactic space consists primarily of one thing: systems of stars, or what we call galaxies. This section consists of galaxy and quasar surveys that give us a taste of the structure of the Universe. We begin on the local scale near the Milky Way and proceed to larger scales, concluding with quasars, the most distant objects astronomers have seen.
